Health Promotion

Social inequality means there are people in our community who are more likely to experience poor health and early death. Health promotion aims to address the underlying causes of social inequality to improve health.

Link Health and Community partners with other organisations and our local community in health promotion initiatives to:

  • Develop people’s ability to improve their own health
  • Support policy and action that creates supportive environments for health

Our current health promotion projects cover:

  • Food security
  • Prevention of violence against women

Link Health and Community engages with schools to improve the health of children, young people and their families.

We developed  the Link Healthy Schools Network to provide information to schools about health and wellbeing issues.
