EDAS
The Eastern Drug and Alcohol Service (EDAS) provides alcohol and drug counselling, referral and support services for people with alcohol and drug use issues.
• Want to cut down, quit or have concerns about your alcohol or drug use;
• Have already cut down or quit and want to prevent a relapse;
• Want information on reducing the risk associated with your use;
• Want information on the effects and potential impact of your alcohol or drug use;
• Have concerns about another person’s alcohol or drug use.
EDAS staff are professionally trained and accredited to assist you with your issues around alcohol and drug use.
EDAS provides adult counselling to those over 21 years, and a youth outreach counselling service to the 12 - 21 year old age group.

EDAS MonashLink provides Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling to:
Adults (aged 22 plus) in the City of Monash
Young people (aged 12-21) in the Cities of Monash and Knox
EDAS MonashLink also offers two specialist programs:
The Family Support Program which provides counselling to families and significant others of substance users in the Eastern Metropolitan Region. This program also provides secondary consultation to other professionals working with people affected by family members or significant others' substance use
The ABI/AOD Clinician Consultant provides Alcohol and Other Drug Counselling to clients with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) issues. This clinician also provides
professional development and training to other professionals, around ABI and AOD issues.

EDAS offers a range of groups and programs which are targeted to specific client and community needs. Counselling and support services are also provided for family members who are affected by substance use. EDAS also has a specialist service around acquired brain injury and alcohol and drug use.
As a regional service, based in Community Health Services, EDAS is also available for consultation, community education and professional development and training.
